Collection: Varuzhan Vardanyan
Varuzhan Vardanyan (1948–2010) was an Armenian painter, writer, and essayist. He graduated from the Yerevan State Institute of Fine Arts and Theatre in 1971 and worked in television and film as an editor and art director. A member of the Union of Artists of the USSR since 1976, his paintings have been exhibited in Armenia, Moscow, and internationally, and are held in major museums and private collections. Vardanyan also authored books and poetry, including The Return of Minas (1992) and The Dirty Room (1994). He received multiple honors, including the Lenin Komsomol Prize of Armenia and the title of Honored Artist of Armenia, and was posthumously named “Heir of Tumanyan.”
