About
-
Stijn Ziegler began his artistic career with street art commissioned by town councils around Paris. His work is now represented in several
galleries in Arles and Paris. Stijn approaches painting in the same way he approaches life—honestly, simply, and with integrity. Deeply inspired
by music, particularly jazz, his work embodies the freedom and spontaneity that transcend academic rules. His paintings convey both dynamism
and intensity, as well as harmony and tenderness, expressed through bold palettes or the delicate touch of spray and brush. Each composition is
carefully crafted to reflect the flow of music—its rhythm, vibrato, and the emotions it evokes in the audience. Characters are frequently depicted
with cubist-inspired faces, symbolizing the universality of music and its ability to connect people beyond boundaries. Through his work, Stijn
captures the interplay between movement and stillness, tension and calm, creating pieces that resonate with energy, emotion, and a poetic sense
of musicality.
