Nadia Barsky

  • Nadia Barsky is a contemporary visual artist born in Kyiv, Ukraine, in 1959, into a family deeply rooted in the performing arts—her father was a

performer in the Moscow circus and her mother a dancer. From an early age, Nadia showed a strong affinity for drawing and painting, though it

was only in 2018 that she fully immersed herself in her artistic practice, dedicating 10 to 12 hours a day to creating her work.

Living with Parkinson’s disease, Nadia discovered that her art provides both physical and emotional therapy, becoming a source of strength,

focus, and personal expression. Her dedication to mastering her craft has led her to pursue extensive training, including pastel workshops with

Sylvain Loisant and painting classes with Jadis, a painter celebrated for her vibrant abstract compositions. These experiences have shaped

Nadia’s evolving style, which blends expressive color, texture, and emotion to convey the depth of human experience.

Nadia’s work often explores themes of resilience, introspection, and the inner life, offering viewers a glimpse into the personal and universal

emotions that move her. Through her paintings, she seeks to create a connection between the artwork and the audience, sharing the feelings and

    moments that inspire her creativity.

Since committing fully to her art, Nadia has participated in a variety of exhibitions and continues to develop her practice, building a growing

body of work that resonates with collectors and art enthusiasts alike. She remains dedicated to exploring new techniques, expanding her artistic

vision, and inspiring others with her story of perseverance, creativity, and passion.
