Laura Durgaryan

  • Laura Durgaryan is an Armenian-born artist whose work spans surrealism, realism, and graphic art, with a deep affinity for still life and

figurative portraiture. A graduate of the University of Fine Arts with a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Art, she has devoted nearly three decades to

refining her craft while also working as an art instructor, guiding both private students and group classes. Since moving to the United States,

Laura has expanded her artistic language, drawing from new experiences and techniques that enrich her creative practice. Her background in

wall décor finishes and interior design informs the distinctive textures in her paintings, where ink on canvas and warm, resonant colors converge

to create works that captivate collectors. Her figurative graphics, in particular, are celebrated for their lyrical quality, often embodying the

delicate essence of femininity through natural motifs, as in her well-known piece Dancing Woman.

Resilience is a central theme in Laura’s art. Shaped by her personal journey and life’s challenges, she channels strength and renewal into every

composition. Russian art and history further influence her still life paintings, lending them cultural depth and nuance. Over the years, Laura’s

work has been recognized with numerous honors, including the title of “Distinguished Artist” and features in various art publications. She has

exhibited widely, both in solo and group settings, with her paintings showcased at venues such as Le Vernissage Gallery of Fine Arts and

Tamara G Gallery in Carmel City, as well as in exhibitions organized by Vendome Editions, JonDo Company, and Bausman Company. Her art

has reached audiences across Armenia, Germany, France, and the United States, earning her an international following.

Through every canvas, Laura Durgaryan continues to explore the intersections of imagination, memory, and emotion—creating art that inspires,

uplifts, and connects with viewers on a profound level.
