Vazken Bedirian

Vasken Bedirian’s artworks capture the fusion of combustion, acceleration, and the relentless drive for motion. Immigrating from Beirut to Los Angeles in 1969, Vasken’s artistic journey began painting on scrap wood and tiles while working at his father’s gas station. As a teenager, cruising Hollywood in his 1970 Trans Am along Sunset Blvd.’s palm-lined streets and neon-lit scenes laid the foundation for his artistic vision, later honed at Art Center College in Pasadena.
